Proper Shoe Care Guide

To maintain the quality, appearance, and longevity of your shoes, follow these essential care steps:

1. Cleaning: Before applying any care products, gently clean your shoes using a slightly damp sponge to remove dirt and dust.

2. Drying: Allow the shoes to air dry naturally for at least 24 hours. Avoid direct heat sources, as they can damage the leather.

3. Applying Cream: Use a soft cotton cloth wrapped around your fingers to apply shoe cream. Work it into the leather using small, circular motions for even coverage.

4. Absorption Time: Let the cream penetrate the leather for 10–15 minutes. Once absorbed, polish the surface using a soft brush to enhance shine.

5. Optional Wax Polish: For a richer shine and a gleaming patina—especially on the toe and heel—apply a wax polish. Use the same circular motion technique as with the cream. A small dab of water can help achieve a high-gloss, glazed finish.

6. Final Buffing: Finish by buffing the shoes with a dry cotton cloth or a soft brush to remove any excess product, especially from creased areas.

Additional Care Tips

  • Use Shoe Trees Daily: Shoe trees help maintain the shoe’s shape and reduce creasing over time.
  • Use a Shoe Horn: Always use a shoe horn when putting on your shoes to prevent damage to the heel structure.
  • Rotate Your Shoes: Avoid wearing the same pair every day. Rotating your shoes allows the leather to dry and breathe, extending their lifespan.
  • Caring for Suede Shoes: For suede footwear, simply use a dedicated suede brush to clean and restore the texture when needed.
